Kmart Haul Double Coupons Day One

Yesterday was the first day of the double coupon event at Kmart.  I went to take advantage of the latest surprise points they sent me.  What I love about Kmart is that they keep track of what you purchase and send you surprise points that you can use to get more at a later date.  I buy all my bottled water there.  I can honestly say I haven't paid for bottled water in months!  I receive email from them with surprise points for my water on a weekly basis.  I combine those surprise points with shop your way points and coupons that print at the register to get free water bottles!

The transaction on the left was pretty easy, but my Kmart has a high turnover rate and the cashiers aren't probably trained (neither are the supervisors).  My husband discourages from going there because of the hassle.  However, I save so much money on Tide Pods, toilet paper, water bottle and other supplies that I return there frequently.

Here's the breakdown:
The Tide Pods (16 ct) are $5.99.  Kmart gave me surprise points for each: one was for $3.50 off and the other was for $2.  I also used a $2 coupon on each which doubled to $4 off each. Making both of them and giving me $1.52 in overage.

The Pantene is on clearance (Everlasting Ends and Aqualight)  for $2.50 each.  I used a $4 off 2 coupon. That made them .50 each.

The Revlon eye shadow was $2.99 each.  I used a $3 coupon on each which gave me .05 in overage.

I had some change in shopyourway points that came off automatically for a final total of $1.92!

Before I entered the store, I loaded a coupon Kmart sent me that would give me $10 in shopyourway points once I used my points and spent over $15.

I gained $10 in points which I will use in today's transaction!

This is going to be an awesome shopping week at Kmart.  Use the P&G coupons to stock up on all the essentials for 2016.  I'll be back to post today's haul.  Be sure to add me as your personal shopper, so you can get some awesome coupons!

Free Wet n' Wild Nail Polish!

I'm so happy that wet n wild decided to give customers more coupons for their products.  My daughter's birthday is coming up in November.   I'm making swag bags for all her friends full of all the cosmetics I can stockpile using my coupons!

If you were lucky enough to live in a region where the coupon was released, you will find two coupons.  One is for .50 off any wet n wild cosmetic and the other is for $1 off the mascara.

ShopRite sells the wet n wild nail polish for .99!  The coupon doubles, so you get it for free.  Kmart has the wet n wild cosmetics 40% off.  The nail polish costs .59 without the coupon, .09 with the coupon!

Whether you have a coupon or not, Kmart is the place to go stock up.  They have a large variety of colors too!

The coupon expires on 10/31, so go get your free nail polish before the stores run out.  ;)  Happy shopping!

Dollar General Breakdown Oct 17, 2015

This Dollar General haul was from Saturday October 17, 2015.  I'm sharing it with you to prepare you for Oct. 24th's promo event.

When I'm preparing a haul for Dollar General, I look for high priced products that also have large value coupons.  That way I get to the $25 total purchase amount I need to get my $5 off.  Once the coupons are applied, my out of pocket amount is very small.

Here are the prices of the products and the coupons I used.
2 Alpo T Bonz dog treats were on sale for $1 each.  I used $2/2 coupon.  (There was also a digital coupon available on the site you could use if you didn't have the printable.)

2 Clairol hair dye costs $3, used a $2 coupon.
6 Poligrip was $2 each, used coupon for free product from in the weekly coupon insert.
1 Angel Soft bathroom tissue 4 pk cost $1, used .45 coupon.
1 Reynold's wrap foil sheets cost $1, no coupon.
1 Alpo Dog biscuits cost $2.50, used $1.50 coupon.
1 Kit Kat king size cost $1.35

The total was over $27. with tax, I paid $5.11.

Most of these coupons haven't expired, so you can use a similar breakdown for this Saturday's haul.  Be sure to give the cashier your Dollar General $5 before you hand over the rest.  As a matter of fact, keep it in a separate.  Why?  There are cashiers that will demand all of the coupons and then your oop will be high.  Many cashiers are not accustomed to couponers and don't know this is allowed at the store.  I shop at four different locations without a problem.  Three of the locations are in NY and one is in NJ.

Hope this helps you save some $.  Happy shopping!

Dollar Tree Haul: More Free Toothpaste!

This month's P&G coupon insert had several Crest toothpaste coupons and I have been using them all up!  If you check out my previous post, you can see I have picked up a lot of Free Crest toothpaste from the Dollar Tree in the past.  (You can check out that post to see what the coupons look like).

Here's a little something that's been happening the last couple of months with those Crest coupons.  For some strange reason, after processing the Crest coupons the register will come up with a negative balance instead of coming up as a $0 balance.  The Dollar Tree has a strict policy that they will not give any cash back to the customer when there is overage due to coupons.  (I have been to Dollar Tree stores that have handed me back overage, but it's not the norm).  What the cashiers have been doing is taking the .14 - .18 cents out of their register and putting it on the side.  I figured I would put that change to use.  So now when I go to the Dollar Tree to use my coupons for free stuff, I also add one product that has a coupon that is worth under .50.  That product will now cost less because the overage is added on to the total.  That is how I paid .67 for the Dawn in the picture above!  Here are a few other coupons I use: Bounty, Fruit Roll ups, Palmolive and Colgate toothpaste. Clever, huh?  Now go get your free toothpaste!

By the way, I paid $2.05 for everything in the picture above.  ;)  Happy shopping.

Kmart Haul Oct. 11-17 2015

If you don't shop at Kmart, you are missing out on a lot of free stuff that can help you save money on your grocery budget!  Kmart has an awesome loyalty program called shopyourway.  Their program is similar to the CVS loyalty program except you have a longer period of time in which to redeem your points.

As a member of shopyourway, you receive special discounts on products in the store.  For example, there are several detergents that carry a special price for shopyourway members.  They also offer promos that will award you with a certain amount of points (that convert into dollar amounts) when you make a qualifying purchase.  For example, they may offer $3 in syw points when you purchase $10 in Dove hair products.  These points can be used on your next purchase.  They also send out email with customized deals that will get you some awesome savings!  The picture above shows the purchase I made on Tuesday.  Kmart sent me an email that said I would receive:
$4 in points towards the purchase of a 16 count Tide pods in one scent (on sale 2/$10)
$3 off the purchase of 16 count Tide pods in a different scent
$1.50 off the purchase of a 24 pack of Smart Sense water bottles (priced $2.99)
$2 off  the purchase of a Glade candle (on sale $2.74)

I paid $1.60 for everything in the picture!  How?  I used a coupon for $2.50 off the purchase of 2 Tide pods and a .75 coupon for the Glade candle on top of the surprise points they gave me.  I've done this so many times, I haven't paid for water bottles in over a month!  The more you take advantage of the surprise points they send you, the more surprise points you get.  I love that!

Want added savings?  Add me as your shop your way personal shopper!  As your shopper, the syw site allows me to send you additional coupons you can use online or at the store.  I am a frequent Kmart shopper, so I know about their advertised sales and clearance items.  You better believe they have me hooked with their monthly double coupon events!  I use these promo events to stock up on shampoo, deodorants, pet food and toilet paper!  Best of all, you can save your points to make big purchases.  I used a lot of my syw points to buy summer patio furniture, home decor and more!  Don't miss out on free money.

Sign up with shopyourway and start saving money today!  Happy shopping.  ;)

Dollar General Haul Oct.11-17 2015

For the past two weeks Dollar General has been a great place to get a lot of free stuff for the home.  The first picture shows the first haul of Sheba cat food I got for free.  After all of my transactions, I picked up 100 cans of Sheba!  I was also able to get Alpo T Bonz snacks free of cost using coupons.

On Saturday they had a promo that took $5 off your $25 purchase.  This doesn't sound like much, but when you also use coupons you can save a lot of money.  I used coupons and a gift card and paid $6.49 for the following:

18 packs of Angel Soft toilet paper (4 roll)  used .45 and $1/2 Qs  (priced $1 ea)
6 boxes of Clairol used $2 Q  (priced $3. ea)
6 bottles of St. Ives body wash used $1.50 Q (sale price $2 ea)
2 bottles of Palmolive dish detergent used $1/2 Q  (priced $1)

Yesterday they had another promo for Columbus Day.  It was a digital coupon that took $2 off a $10 purchase.  (You must register on the site to load the digital coupons and then use your phone number at the register to get your discount).  I bought everything in the picture, used Qs and paid $1.86!

This Saturday is their next promo event.  Go through my breakdowns above, cut your coupons, load your digital coupons and go to Dollar General to stock up on household necessities.

Scroll down to the bottom of the site to print two $2 coupons for the Alpo T Bonz snacks!  They are currently on sale for a $1 a bag until the 17th.   You'll also find lots of coupons you can use this Saturday at Dollar General!  You can also load a digital coupon for the Alpo snacks and get a total of 6 free bags!  They also have a digi coupon for Clairol, Dawn and more.  Have fun shopping.  ;)

Free Crest Toothpaste!

Here is an example of what is possible when you coupon!  Below you will see an image I took of 102 FREE Crest toothpaste I picked up at The Dollar Tree.  I actually got 120 tubes of Crest, but I gave 18 away already.  ;)  I'm writing this post to help those that need to see exactly what coupons I used.

Below you can find an image with the 3 different kinds of coupons that one can find in July's P&G coupon insert.  These coupons specify that the tube of Crest must be 3.0 oz or above.  In the picture to your left you will see that there are a variety of Crest toothpastes available.  They range in sizes from 3.5 oz to 4.7 oz.  Hurry!  These coupons expire August 2, 2015.

Keep in mind you may only use 4 like coupons per day.  If your Dollar Tree doesn't have them now, check back often.  I went to the same three stores the entire month of July.  For those of you that missed that coupon insert, you may use the August P&G coupon that gives you $2.50 off 2 Crest toothpastes (must be 3.0 oz or more).   For those of you that do not have a Dollar Tree close by, save the coupons for Shop Rite's deal this coming week.

I hope this helps you save some money this year!  Think of how much money you could save if you didn't have to pay for products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, shanpoo, deodorant, etc!

By the way, Kmart is doubling coupons (up to $2.00 this week).  I already started my hauls.  Will be back later to post my finds with pictures.  ;)  Don't have a clue what I'm referring to?  Check out my old Kmart posts so you can understand why I'm talking about.

An Example of a Rite Aid Haul

In my previous posts I've mentioned how I shop at Rite Aid to stretch my budget.  The picture on the left is the first of a series of transactions that spanned over three days. The reason one has to set up transactions in this way is because Up Rewards are not available until the next day.  So if you purchase a product that gives up $10. in Up Rewards, you must wait until the next day to redeem them.  I imagine the stores implemented this to cut down the waiting time at the registers.  CVS and Target don't have these restrictions.  I read other blogs where couponers say they roll their ECBs on multiple transactions and many as 5.  I would hate to be waiting on that line!  LOL!  Back to the breakdown.  I printed a coupon that can be found at the bottom of this site.  Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll find it.  The coupon is for a BOGO of the Schick ST2 disposable razors in the image.  They were on sale for $6.99.  The deal was buy $25. in Schick products, get back $10. in Up Rewards.  I had 4 coupons to buy 8 packs which totaled about $56 before the savings were applied.  They allowed 2 deals per household.  I had a Rite Aid coupon they sent me by snail mail for $10 off a $50 purchase.  I also had 2 coupons for $2 off and 2 for $3 off.  My our of pocket should have been less than $12 and then I was to receive $20. in Up Rewards.  Unfortunately, the cashier messed up the transaction and didn't process one of the BOGO coupons, so my OOP was $18.68.  I told her the total was supposed to be less.  She decided to figure out the error after it was processed.  I didn't make a big deal out of it because she gave me the coupon back and I knew that CVS was going to have the same promo this week!  Lucky me.  ;)  So, I walked out with $20 in Up Rewards I could use the next day.

Transaction number two turned out to have an error as well.  Serves me right for going to a Rite Aid that I know has cashiers that don't know much about how the promos run.  I was short on time, so I decided to take the risk.  I went to the register with 2 Viva Paper Towels (8 pk) and a gallon of milk.  I used a 50 cents off printable coupon from pickupthevalues and a $1.00 peelie coupon found on the package.  My OOP was supposed to be $0.  Instead I had to pay $4.18 because the cashier said I only had $10 in Up Rewards.  I was in a rush so I paid.  I got 25 cents added to my ibotta acct and $12.49 added toward my SavingStar smartphone app on the deal: spend $30 on Viva or some other products they have listed and you get back $5.

The next day I returned and bought 2 more 8 packs of Viva Towels and paid $1.50.  I used the remaining $10 in Up Rewards and 2 peelie coupons for $1 each.

I was a little frustrated with Rite Aid this week, but it worked out.  I gave away a lot of my paper towels, so I need to stock up again.

Don't forget to get your SavingStar account up and running.  You can get the money you save in gift cards or deposited into your paypal account.  I like the Viva Deal and I'm about to complete it as you can see on the picture to your left.  ;)

Remember, scroll down and print the Schick BOGO coupon because you will be able to repeat this transaction at CVS this week!  Go stock up and save money on your groceries in 2015!

How to Roll Kmart Coupons

In my last post I wrote about the Kmart and Sears loyalty program called shopyourway and how I use it to score free stuff.  This time I decided to share my Kmart haul to give you step by step instruction.

The picture on the left consists of two separate transactions from Kmart.  I made this purchase last week.  The reason why I started here is to explain where I got the Kmart coupons I used on this week's transactions.  So last week, Kmart was doubling up to 5 coupons (per day) valued at $2.00 with a minimum purchase of $25.  I bought a 4 bags of Tide Pods (16 ct) and a 30 pack of Charmin toilet paper.  The total cost was $30.99.  The reason I purchased these particular products was because P&G was offering customers a $10. Kmart coupon when you made a $30 purchase in specific products.  Remember, you had to spend at least $25 to have your coupons doubled.

Here's the exact breakdown:
4 $2.00 manufacturer's coupons for the Tide Pods = $8.00 x 2 = $16.00
1  $.35 Charmin internet printable coupon (find some below) or use Swagbucks = $ .70
Used $7.70 in Shopyourway points

Paid $7.66 out of pocket (oop) and received a $10.00 Kmart coupon for my next purchase.

Today I went to Kmart and purchased 4 Quilted Northern 8 pks of toilet paper and 4 boxes of Ziploc bags 90 ct.  When you purchase $15 worth of those products, you get a $5 coupon for your next purchase.

Here's the breakdown:
2  $1.00/2  manufacturer's coupon for the Ziploc
2  $1.00/2  manufacturer's coupon on QNorthern
2  $10.00 Kmart coupons

In order to use both Kmart coupons, I had to break them up into two separate transactions.

I paid $7.53 oop and received a $5.00 Kmart coupon for my next purchase.

I decided to use my 2 $5.00 coupons today.  So I had two transactions with the following coupons:

2  $5.00 Kmart coupons
2  $2.00 manufacturer's coupons for Axe gift sets

Each Axe gift set cost $9.99.  I paid $3.29 for each, after all my coupons!

I also picked up the free headphones I ordered yesterday!

I'm very happy with my purchases.  The two sales above are still going on, so go get your discounted products asap!

Stay tuned.  My Target and Rite Aid hauls will follow this post soon!

Feel free to ask questions.  I'll do my best to answer them.  ;)

How I Get Free Products at Kmart and Sears

It's been a long time since I have posted here.  I'm back to share all the awesome things I have learned and all the free stuff I have scored!

CVS, Rite Aid, Target and Kmart are a few of my favorite stores.  These are stores that offer points for each purchase that one can use to make future purchases.  I learned to scout out the freebies to earn points that I use to buy the things I need on a weekly basis.  It's an awesome way to save money!

The picture you see on the left is my latest purchase on Kmart.  The headphones pictured are $25, but they are on sale for $15.  Using my shopyourway points I bought them at $0 cost.  These headphones are great to have on hand for a quick gift.  How did I do it?  I had $21.39 in shopyourway points (syw for short).  I also had $3. in surprise points for my next Kmart.com purchase.  I combined the two to make this purchase free.  If I would have paid for the $12. balance in cash, I would have earned $12.15 in points for the purchase!  These points can be used towards the next purchase.  (These points can even be used in the store.  All you have to do is sign up on shopyourway and add your phone number to your account.  When making a purchase at the register, give them your phone number and your account comes up.)

Every week, Kmart has a variety of products that offer bonus points both at the store and online.  I enjoy hunting these down because when you match up the right coupons, you can really end up racking points you can use to buy anything!  Here are just a few of the things I bought at no cost, thanks to the syw program: a desk for my son, 10 throw pillows, a coffee table, pet food, household items and more.  If you enjoy shopping at CVS and Rite Aid, you are going to love using syw at Kmart.

For those of you that are techies, they have an awesome mobile app.  You can download it to your phone or tablet in a snap.  Through the app you can check to see how many points you have and add coupons to your account.  There are three kinds of coupons.  One type take a dollar amount off your purchase.  Another type gives you points when you spend a certain amount.  For example, you can earn $5. in points when you spend $25 in shoes.  The last kind of coupon is a manufacturer coupon.  These take off a designated amount off a certain product.  They are basically the same as the coupons found in the Sunday paper.  These digital manufacturer coupons cannot be combined with clipped manufacturer coupons in the paper.

This is a great way to shop, right?  Some of you may be trying to figure out how you can fit this into your schedule.  Are you worried about not having the time to hunt down the deals?  Don't fret.  Join shopyourway , then add me (Alva Ortiz) as your personal shopper.  Leave me a comment on the syw site as soon as you do.  My new clients will receive $5 you can use on your next $25 purchase!  Let's end 2014 with a new way to stretch your money and get everything you need!  I can't believe how much money I've saved.  If you are an avid amazon or ebay seller, you can score a lot of free products you can sell at 100% profit!

Now what are you waiting for?  Go, sign up and collect your $5!
